This is the first time I've used charcoal since I was in 8th grade. I told you I have a lot to learn and practice. I was trying to capture the look and feel of the pear just coming out of the dark. What do you think? It wasn't as hard today once I got started, but getting started is tough. I think that doing these little sketches helps a lot since they're not major undertakings and seem manageable. I've been studying a lot of Paul Foxworth's art and blog. He is amazing.
